About

Teaching is a wonderful profession and you don't even have to be a full-time teacher to be able to impart knowledge on individuals.  People have been teaching for centuries without being a teacher and parents have been doing it since time began.  So everyone can be able to impart knowledge and in some ways it is really important to break down the basics to help others understand. Even if you have vast knowledge on a topic it is important to be able to teach others what they actually need to know at a level they can understand.  People who are bad teachers could be the smartest individuals, but if they are not able to break down information in a way others can get, then they are not good teachers. So one area that is important to know and be able to talk to others about is dental health.  This is an area that everyone in the world is affected by, even if they don't have teeth the health of your mouth is important.

First if you are going to talk to others about dental health remember there are lots of different kinds of learners out there.  Some people only learn by hearing.  This means that they need to hear the way things work in order to understand them.  All the reading in the world won't help them really understand until they hear it.  So do not push them or hold them to a reading knowledge if you are not going to be willing to talk to them.

Some people have to read it in order to understand it.  This means that you need to give them information to read and not just lecture them on how to brush their teeth or understand tartar and tooth decay. And some people learn by doing. This means that they may need to do a game or get up and move around while trying to learn.  Kinesic learning is a bit hard to teach but you need to be able to talk to all kinds of people.

Again I want to harp on the simplicity of teaching. Do not go into full indepth surgery or biology of teeth if the individuals knows nothing about them.  They don't need to knowledge to be a doctor in order to be able to have healthy dental hygiene.  So start simple and build knowledge from the bottom up. Stay safe teach well and be healthy!
